Removal of the two lower lockpins allows the wheels to be pivoted, swiveled up and locked in an upright position. Removal of all four stainless pins releases the entire wheel assembly and allow take wheels off when you get to the water. Hard or small launching wheels sink into soft sand -making them extremely difficult to manage. Aquamarine launching canoe dolly come equipped with big pneumatic wheels for easy launch . If your motor is pretty heavy small 10 -12 inch diameter wheels sink in the sand when you try to pull the boat up the beach. Larger 15-16" wheels will not sink.
